01The challenge
International hiring was growing, but relocation support did not have one consistent operating model.
Relocation requirements varied by candidate and destination. Candidates needed reliable answers, hiring managers needed realistic expectations, and HR Operations needed a practical reference for what happened next and who owned each part of the journey.
The goal was to make the journey easier to understand without treating every international hire as an entirely new process.
02My role
Own the system, use local expertise where it was strongest, and keep the overall model coherent.
As a Talent Acquisition Manager, I owned the project end-to-end and had autonomy to design the process and working format. I led the Germany research and process work directly.
For Portugal, I delegated research to a colleague with relevant relocation experience and Portuguese-language access, while retaining overall project ownership and bringing the work together into one operating approach. I also supported international candidates directly throughout their relocation journeys.
